If you care about privacy, look no further. Stakenet has privacy features, both as a coin, but also in it's eco-system, which is built on masternodes.
This is by far one of the best masternode projects, actually as good, if not better than DASH if you ask me, and for several reasons:

Doesn't matter. I don't care about wash trading volume to be honest. Real volume is what matters, and the total volume for a lot of the top projects have fallen dramatically anyway.
I've seen the total volume for the project exceed 500k/day some days, and that's impressive considering they aren't listed on any of the major exchanges yet.
Cool thing is, they don't even need to, as they are going to run their own very soon.
Centralized exchanges are soon a thing of the past, at least they will be a minority once people realize they can trade without submitting all the personal details to anyone it's gonna become extremely popular.

The cloud takes a fee of like 5% as far as I know, so it's more profitable to solo stake in terms of coins, but you gotta factor in the electricity you use doing that.
You could cold stake it, but I don't think you will find a merchant who would do it for less than 15%.
If you get the remaining 8k, you could set up a masternode though, would probably be the best option, but your choice ofc

The market moves in cycles. In late 2017 the BTC dominance was low because BTC was oversold for the altcoin bull run. The smartest decision was to hedge back to BTC, and wait for BTC to take the most dominance as possible again.

Same thing you do the other way around. With a BTC dominance at 35% you'd be an idiot not to sell, and wait for the dominance to go back up again, and get cheap ALT's.
