Ok so it looks like there's a good chance link is unironically going to make some anons here very rich. Anyone who already made it got any advice for adjusting to having wealth? What should you think about once all material concerns are met?

This board has a contagious sickness of allowing ourselves to believe we're actually going to be millionaires. The amount of suicides if this shit goes bust will be unreal.

>> No.14906203

You're getting ahead of yourself. A million, or even a few million, isn't wealth. It just appears that way because you've never had it and never had to give what you would do with it to buoy your lifestyle in perpetuity while continuing to grow that wealth as the cost of living and the cost of purchasing assets continued to rise along with expenses like family.

This. The more money you accumulate the more you realize just how little it is actually worth and/or how difficult it truly is to become wealthy. Your job shifts from accumulating income to managing/not losing it. Your whole lifestyle scales up; the vacations become more frequent; the houses are nicer; the gifts you buy for other people are nicer; you buy slightly nicer food; you start developing retarded hobbies like horology and sailing and so on. There is no real adjustment. You just become more and more blackpilled and end up not even wanting a lamborghini anymore and just wanting a $20k civic thats good on gas

I dont care that much about wealth, I just want my time to be my own. Isn't that true wealth?

Based and redpilled. I don't even care about money. I just want to be able to get up when I want and go where I want.

There is no true wealth or infinite state of joy or whatever you think the endgame is. Our monkey brains always want something novel so if you have a family for a few years you'll want to be alone and if you're alone for a few years you'll want to have a family. There is no winning because your brain won't allow it.

I disagree, sort of. Essentially what you're saying is that the grass is greener, right? I think a person with the right amount of mental preparation can recognise the this fallacy. I can differentiate from the urge for something that's the opposite of what I have, but also realise that its not in my best interest and just move forward.

That's not to say I disagree with you, I think these urges or whatever you'd call them are very primal.
