Does /biz/ have more books like this?

I quite like reading about financial crises.

Have you read anything by Michael Lewis? Good, quick reads.

Yeah I've read The Big Short and Flashboys. Anything else you'd recommend by him?

Oh for sure, check out Liar's Poker (about his time at Solomon Brothers) and Boomerang. Boomerang is like a follow-up to the Big Short. Both very good. I'm guessing you like history? I would also recommend Devil Take the Hindmost, which is a history of speculative bubbles. I could go on/more specific if you want, got a pretty large bookshelf lol

Thanks, and keep going. I need more books like these.

Don't worry about reading, you'll be living through another crash soon.

Are you into trading? Even if you're not, check out Reminiscences of a Stock Operator. That was required reading at my last firm. Barbarians at the Gate is a good historical piece, though very long and kind of dry.

Next up on my list to read is The Worst Hard Time: The Untold Story of Those Who Survived the Great American Dust Bowl by Timothy Egan. I haven't ordered it yet but do yourself a favor and read some of the excerpts. Pretty wild. We think we had it bad in the recession... people in the dust bowl were so fucked their lungs were literally filled with dust.

Lords of Finance: The Bankers Who Broke the World by Liaquat Ahamed

I have these downloaded. Are they worth a read?
