Ok since all of you are poor fags with no experience let me tell you something crazy.
This actually works.
No it doesn't work to open two separate positions, you simply will get liquidated immediately. Instead, open the two positionsides as cross margin within the account they will hedge each other, as the unrealized gains of fests the unrealized losses.

Reduce the winner when it wins.
You can essentially do x100 with no liquidation price.
Note, this only works when you are playing a range, if it breaks out, you're fucked trying to escape the short. But you'll still only break even at worst.

Deribit is autocross.
And yes I open a long on perpetual and a short on quarterlies. The profits/losses balance each other so you can play full swings, though I dare not go higher than 50x and I am slowly reducing the short as I expect to leave this range soon.
