Here, the comfiest jobs are facilities/manufacturing plants (only fix things when they break in your location). Then construction, then residential/call out repairs (handyman). Pretty sure someone already covered the same thing earlier, I'm not an electrician...just have friends in the field.

you pay 0,00 moneys for medication, hospital or anything.
there are also other insurances included.

the median net income in germany is ~1600€ per month.

with 21 years old and 1400€ net income he is below median income.

i also started with 1400€ and i work in wholesales.

you have to switch companies to earn more most of the time.
always apply for jobs and try to get 200€ more per month.
also always ask for more money every year.

you probably even need to go to meisterschule to make more than 2k net per month as an electrician.

In Europe trades are shit, if you compare them to the US. They pay slightly better than retail but not that much to compensate for the time investment and the difference in effort they require unless you're quite specialized and have a lot of years under your belt. Still, retail and service sector jobs have been failing to pay livable wages for almost a decade over here. Retail people have been either lowering their living standards for a long time to make ends meet, or getting deep into debt. All a result of our stagnating economy, increased taxation, etc. So getting into trades is a good way to make a decent living instead of being thrown under the bus.

We're just trying to make the best of a shitty situation. I literally only got into a trade as a long term plan to save up enough money to fund my own business. I would never in a million years have been able to do so in any other job sector.

That's a good question but generally it's true for most jobs. It's a two edged sword. At the one hand it's bad if you want safety and security on the other hand it pushes people who want more into entrepreneurship which is extremely good.
Expect 30-60% of your net income to go towards rent depending on the city and location.
However it's a pretty good environment to start a business. The legal system works very well and loans are abundantly available.
