As well as businesses paying Link to the nodes, incentivizing the industry to buy more too. As more Link is staked as collateral for these nodes, the supply will drain up. The cost of link only determines how much link is staked, i get that. the more staked the more that you get paid in link. If you were paid by the amount of link you put up in cash or another coin that actually is used as a currency wouldn't that give the link your staking actual value?
