Nobody has ever made money off of Bitcoins. It's a Ponzi scheme, and all of the posts about it on /biz/ are paid advertisements/scams. Avoid it at all costs. The leader of the scam, Edwardo Falensias will eventually collect your money. He's currently hiding from the feds in Cuba and has authorized local scam artists to continue the Bitcoin collection. This post will probably be deleted like my other posts, but hopefully you can read it first.

Daytrading bitcoin is a pain in the ass, believe me.

You'd be better off just buying some and letting them grow, and checking tweeter and such to know if they're a major issue going on that'll probably eat all your gains.

That said, you can always try it out, but be warned, that'll be painful.

Bought 5btc at $430

So yeah, I'm making money. Just sell when the retarded news comes out and buy back later.

It's pretty fucking predictable.

>cashing out is so difficult and rare

You are a liar. It is extremely easy to get coins into and out of an exchange like BTC-e and very easy to turn those into cash at Coinbase.com or a Robocoin ATM.

>> No.149856

I did it.

I'm in Canada so cashing in/out was trivial. I can generally cash out anything up to 100k in a matter of days. Not to brag, but just saying for the haters out there who think this 1.9 billion dollar market cap is imaginary. It isn't.

My first mistake: Cavirtex. It's incredibly difficult to beat a 1.3% commission. Incredibly stupid to try now that I think of it.

Second mistake: I stopped caring. I'd put in a buy at 810 and a sell at 910 and stop paying attention. Worked a few times, but as we're on a slow deflation of the bubble, you can't count on any real upward swings, only erratic spikes on a long slow trip downwards. So if you're not paying attention you might never hit your sells.

Anyway, I cashed out, mostly because I'm tired of it all (veteran of 2012, held through the first $30 bubble) and I feel that this last, biggest bubble is the highest it's going to go. Possibly in three or four years it will be long-term profitable but day trading is silly for now. Talk to me once we settle out at the bottom in a year or two.

Heard about the Gox withdrawals halting and couldn't help myself. Made about a 8% return over the course of the weekend. Not too bad, netted 3.3BTC for less than 20 hours of work. I wish it was always that easy, but the opportunities do arise on a regular basis. I used BTC-e, no leveraging just straight sales with caution.

about 100k since 2012, all based on an initial investment. Of course it's easy when the market is going up one million percent a day.

I used Cavirtex.

Don't bother daytrading anymore.

you'd be surprised how effective supply & demand scalping is for trading bitcoins, this is price action heaven

>> No.159991

It's possible, but hard. Like any other form of daytrading. If you start with 1k don't expect to live off it anytime soon.
