Right here baby. 22 million holder..This coin is going to be the next coin biz talks about after ethereum, ant shares and chainlink. They have the most powerful wallets and brains in silicon valley backing them along side Peter Thiel. Not only have they been compliant to every rule the SEC has established they even hired an advisor from the SEC to the reserve team. This is the most obvious moon shot in all of crypto by far.

The major problem with the majority of stable coins at the moment is many of them dont have the capacity to actually scale when the crypto market cap enters into the trillions. This bullrun we're in right now will see massive adoption of stable coins as anons begin selling off into them at the ath. What the Reserve protocol manages to accomplish is the establishment of a regulatory compliant stable coin that has the ability to scale for world wide demand and a crypto market cap exceeding 100 trillion. For these reasons, and a long list of many others, smart money is in on this dark horse early, and make no mistake - marketing for Reserve will kick into high gear in Q3 and many nu-bizlets will miss this boat.

The only dominant stable coin is tether, and its one of the least trusted entities in crypto. It's also completely unknown to no crypto users. Tether also has no speculative asset tied to it. Tether also only represents the US dollar.

2) backers - speaks for itself
3) team - highly technical autists (EA community too, they're actually quite good at getting stuff done and are a bit of a global cult)

>former SEC chairman as an advisor to Reserve
>Coinbase Ventures is backing it and Reserve will likely be listed on Coinbase in 2020
>approved of by the United Nations
>Peter Thiel holds 15% of the total supply of RSR

What are the alternatives right now in terms of stables that ppl actually feel comfortable using?
>Tether - caught red handed in actual fraud, confirmed for not 1:1 backed by USD, in a legal battle they will ultimately lose, literally counterfeit fake money - centralized and totally worthless - used to fuel pnd ponzis

>DAI - devs cant actually keep it stable, incompetent team, can never scale, 100,000,000 debt ceiling, very very small supply, used mostly for margin CDP based loans

>USDC - made by a company that failed at their crypto business so they decided to just focus on USDC, redflags, entirely backed by the USD so when the USD hyperinflates all USDC will literally be worthless - good luck holding those depreciating bags

>TUSD - same problem as USDC in that its backed entirely by USD

etc etc etc

Reserve is the most advanced stable coin concept to date. It's a reinvented MakerDAO that actually succeeds where Maker failed.

Meant to point out that Reserve is backed by a basket of stables, other assets, and RSR as collateral. So, when the USD does hyperinflate (and it will because its the biggest shitcoin on the market right now, dyor) Reserve wont be effected and will retain its value. It's the safest currency concept you can possibly store value in and its going to be so fucking huge that everyone around the world will be using it since everyone is having the same problem with fiat currency, its depreciating because its all backed by debt.

>Will there be an incentive in holding RSV?
The high IQ answer to elite minded /biz/raelites is yes.
Huobi is currently developing a DeFi that will utilize RSV.
This information was not released to the public but the partnership with Huobi was big for Reserve.
Huobi is all in on it, and there is a 100% chance that RSV is being integrated into their DeFi solution.

So yeah, holding RSV in the Huobi DeFi will earn you passive interest.
Higher interest than any normie bank in the US or Europe.

And it's rumored that Hannah Barron holds a 100 million bag of RSR.

you behind the news? the SEC/FED have now halted Libra completely by now imposing that Libra be registered just like any literal BANK is. the project is meeting resistance worldwide and its more likely that Libra doesnt even launch until 2021 if ever. and by that time Reserve will already have first mover advantage and even normies know to stay away from FB scams so Libra is dead in the water anyways.

But the real redpill on Libra is that FB is using it to avoid paying taxes, by turning its profits into Libra and avoiding the USD. FB is doing this because they are in lots of financial troubles. long list of countries suing them, declining user rates, advertisers suing them in a class action, advertisers abandoning the platform, etc etc.

Libra is a last ditch effort to save the sinking ship that is FB. but dyor thats all the spoonfeeding im doing tonight.

I do have roughly $100K in crypto. 10K LINK, 300K REN... But it was totally clear those are projects without too much competition.

I also own ~500K RSR, but honestly, the competition by USDT and Libra (and MKR) scares me. Not sure I would go that deep in right now.

Or are you the gambling type?

Yes, but either that gets lifted, then RSR has stiff competition. Or it doesn't, then why would RSR not face the same regulatory hurdles?

Again, I am holding RSR, not trying to FUD. I just seek to understand the risk appetite some seem to have here.

Look, the main use case for Libra will be for thots on FB to con their beta orbiters into buying and sending to them. It's a centralized shitcoin whereas RSV is the evolution of the stable coin, decentralized, independent of the USD, actually stable. Libra will never be decentralized, and it is implied that the wallets supporting Libra will have the ability to FREEZE a users holdings. No one in their right mind would use Libra for a long list of reasons. Compare the whitepapers and see for yourself. Another thing you are probably not thinking about is just how many ppl got into crypto in 2017 and have been bag holding ever since.
These people are waiting for the next ATH bull cycle to SELL OFF INTO STABLE COINS.
Presently, with all of the stables combined, and if the market TA is correct for this bull cycle, there ISNT ENOUGH STABLE COINS TO GO AROUND FOR EVERYONE TO SELL INTO.
Do the math, and use some common sense.
So, the DEMAND for RSV to scale higher than USDT is actually there and it will happen in 2020.
RSV will flip USDT as your veteran crypto investors and traders will be selling into the savest stable they can possibly sell into, RSV.

I've already answered that in this thread but its because Maker relies on CDP's and because of this it cant scale to global demand conditions. MakerDAO is so complicated it will never see normie adoption.
The rates are so fucking high to even use it, you'd have to be mathematically illiterate to even really consider it.
And yeah, MakerDAO is a tool for traders, its not a system designed for global adoption as a day to day currency and safe store of value from the volatility of deflationary fiat currency.

And to be entirely fair we're talking about one thing really in this thread:

>Global currency

MakerDAO was never designed to be a global currency whereas Reserve protocol is being designed exclusively for that use case.
And please dont make the argument that a 1,000,000 total supply of Maker is going to scale globally when compared to the 100,000,000,000 of RSR which in this system they are the counterparts to eachother.

It's a no brainer which one could scale into trillions of dollars worth of market cap.
The main issue with DAI is that for a stable coin, its actually volatile.
And that, friendo, is a bad thing when we're talking about stables.
Not only is the design of the Reserve protocol next gen, it fixes the problems that Maker has currently going for it.

>> No.14740960

Well the Huobi DeFi seems to be on track for being a real DeFi so it will use smart contracts and CDP (collateralized debt positions) in which users will deposit or supply the contract with RSV and be able to take out loans at high APR. However, if all you do is supply the contract with your RSV you will be earning interest on it similar to http://compound.finance DeFi - so between 5%-8% interest on your RSV supplied to the contract seems about right. Just depends on how much is supplied to it and how many ppl are taking out these loans which in turn pay you interest on your supplied RSV.

By 2021 we should see a $0.40+ RSR
as by this time it will have already been listed on Coinbase and all major exchanges.
Its a long value investing position.

Estimates on the rate of RSR burns is 2%-5% per year in USD based on increased adoption rates.
And that figure is taken from a Reserve developer from the following post:

>We estimate that about 2-5% of the USD value of the RSV in circulation will be burned in RSR per year. This comes from estimates about RSV velocity (for the transaction fees) and average collateral token appreciation rates (for thinks like tokenized treasury bills). So it's just an estimate.

>This means that if there are 100 million RSV in circulation, we estimate that about $2-5 million worth of RSR would be burned per year. If RSV grows larger, the rate would be higher, e.g. with 100 billion RSV, that would be about $2-5 billion worth of RSR burned per year.

>This is one of the subjects we are lookign forward to explaining in depth in one of our Rights-holder Update calls!

I agree on some other points, but this claim is specious. We are talking about 1,000,000 total supply of a token which is divisible to 18 decimals. Of course it scales, it just means eventually we will see burns of 0.000000000001 MKR. Claiming otherwise is on the same level as someone who thinks you have to buy a whole Bitcoin.
