BTC go up ALT go down

I've been watching FTM over the past couple of days, I bought when it was coming down at 235; I know it's going to go back up and beyond I'm just waiting for this dumb fucking BTC fluctuation to stop.

can someone tell me what the point of investing in crpyto atm? seems like whenever I buy a alt coin the value decreases because BTC is going up

litterally, when ftm was at 190 it was because btc was at 12,800
when ftm went to 215 it was because BTC was at 10,900

whatever loss I am making in FTM by holding it's getting balanced out by the value of btc
will probably just wait till it's neutralised and reap the profits from just holding

yeh when ftm goes back up to 400 range, btc will come back down balancing out any profits
