Intel SGX and HTTPS are method to provide data protection in the sense that no malicious party has manipulated the intended data to send.

The Sybil attack vector is that someone operates enough nodes to have a measure of authority (which hilariously in the existing system is FUCKING ONE NODE) and just lies.

The problem is not a data integrity issue in the sense of attacks after the data is sent. The attack is just a node operator lying about the price of corn.

Building a decentralized reputation network is pretty much impossible. It's a more difficult task than scaling Ethereum itself. The one paragraph dedicated to reputation in the Chainlink white paper does not solve the problem. It has an infinite amount of unanswered questions about its design.

If Chainlink was gonna solve this incredibly difficult problem, they would have submitted a technical paper about this very problem 2 years ago (not one vague paragraph), and started working on it 2 years ago. They wouldn't have release some useless software and pretended it's decentralized.

How exactly do you choose a random node in a decentralized network? There is no decentralized production project running right now that has decentralized randomness at the validation level.

Some permissionned networks might have it. But that's not decentralized.

Pretty sure it took Eth2.0 years to solve that problem, and that's if they have, I haven't looked into their progress in a while. How did they solve it? They had specifications out and the public commented on it. Thousands of people.

Where are Chainlink's specification to solve this incredibly hard problem? Nowhere. Because they don't have it. They are scamming.

And thats only ONE of the infinite problems that can come up in a PoS/collateral design.

If you're building something of that complexity, and you don't have hundreds/thousands of eyes on it, you're basically retarded. This is research level stuff that is always open source.
