Does anyone else feel they have a job with a pretty good value/effort ratio?

You probably could quit your job and find one that pays 10-15% better but you would require you working 3 times as hard.

Yup. Travel is paid so I really just get paid 8 hours a working day for a 1 hour drive to someone, a 30 minute visit, another drive of say, 1 hour and another 30 minute visit, then driving home another hour and writing some small reports that I can mainly copy pasta from previous visits and reports. Thanks to coffee breaks and lunch it totals around 8 hours a day. They wanted to promote me to a managing function in office, but that would mean 8 hours of grinding and problem solving with minimum amount of breaks.

Yup, the flexibility is just the best. I get 11 weeks paid leave per year. Presence at the office not monitored/mandatory. In low pressure weeks I am on the job maybe 20hrs a week.

Do you think about the future?
I need to start enjoying the present more I guess. It's hard when you've experienced bad times in the past. Guess I'm just a crusty boomer

My last jobs don't have good return value for my time and that is why I decided to learn software developing and business skills.

After watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3ogWRje-18&t=0s&ab_channel=DanLok

I realised that I need to value my time to earn more money.

wow. nice

I have 2 days that i can work from home. I usually work like 3, and some days does not work at all. But my commute is 2 hours 10 mins in SINGLE side on normal days, and i can't afford a car..

any other similar work gona be 5 days at office with stricter supervisers (time related, where i come in and leave) so i refused few offers already

This is why i want to start my own thing, i don't want to wage slave to the rest of the days. Would rather die.

Watching his video is fine except his offering of his high-ticket closing course that is very expensive.

Most people will properly join his course but for me I need to focus on earning my money in my own way.

So nice having a job that doesn't really have any deadlines.

I see people around me my age that probably earn a bit more but they actually experience stress.

It just isn't worth it.

It's pretty good. I can come and go whenever I want (within reason) as my boss is pretty chill. The work is boring as fuck though. It's embedded software engineering and I hate it. I only do two or three hours of work a day at best. The rest of the day is staring at the screen doing nothing, doodling on a piece of paper and taking regular walking breaks. My boss sits beside me so I try to avoid random internet browsing, but he doesn't really care.

Yeah that's me. I still hate my fucking job though and would happily work harder at something more fulfilling, though I don't know what that is.
