However, for this to happen we would need extreme resource management and sustainability. Post-scarcity won’t occur for another 20 years or so, if however long it takes for AI to take everyone’s jobs (unironically). Only when 90% of people literally can’t find a job because a robot is cheaper and better to employ, there will be a revolution or massive change in government/social policy, THAT is when we live in a post scarcity world. I used to believe people living in a post scarcity world could work but lately I've changed my mind.
It comes down to people's psychology, they always want something better, their expectations shift to make whatever luxury they're living in to become "normal" and anything above that to be the new "luxury".

So even if all people's needs are met, it's impossible to meet every single new luxury they have. It's impossible for every single person to have a personal jet and crew to take them around the world, to all have the best and most powerful cars, fastest internet, best food, to have a massive piece of land in the middle of a city, to fly to the moon from their apartment balcony every weekend.
Human nature lives off hierarchies and that cannot be changed.

Unless society was shifted into a very authoritarian way to prevent the freedom of people from working towards their own luxuries, it's a pipe dream.
That's not to say we can't do more to provide the basic needs of food/shelter for everyone, there's plenty of good progress to be made, but creating post-scarcity is either a pipe-dream or an authoritarian nightmare.
