Ok, so this happened to me when I had Trumpcoin open and my PC bluescreened. I had to save the wallet file to a safe spot (i did a cloud drive) then I renamed the trumpcoin %appdata% folder to something like "trumpcoin (original)" or some shit like that. then downloaded a fresh wallet and launched it, the files automatically get loaded into the %appdata% location, then you put your wallet file into the fresh %appdata% location, replacing the new one.

Then wait for a few hours to have the wallet sync up. tread lightly for the sake of your trumps.

It's a fundraising platform for Trump. a portion of coins are held in escrow to be donated to a PAC.

The coin certainly has use. It raises awareness of Trump and his campaign, gets people talking, people can send Trumpcoins to other people to get them involved, its a way to get people excited, and yes possibly make money.

There are other ways of fundraising OTHER than direct donation. This is why concerts, fairs, games etc are held to raise money. It's the same fucking thing, and thats why the coin has real use. Plus the fact that anyone can buy and sell the coin.

A while ago, another Trump video gained popularity, the one with the Battlefield 1 song, well guess what, I made that one too, and uploaded it on my other channel.

First time I uploaded it, it hit 30.000 views in a single day.

Second time I uploaded it, I had to adjust it to overcome copyright issues. Same thing happened, but I accidentally fucked the video up internally.

So I deleted the video again, remastered it, and soon I will up load it to the YT channel in the OP, but now with a Trumpcoin logo and some other things.

This question was answered a million times. The coin is a fundraising platform. This is why you have fairs, concerts, drives, etc instead of direct donation. Trumpcoin is another way to raise awareness (yes even of a presidential candidate), get people excited, even the act of trading digital coins is cool, raises awareness of crypto as well, it does so much not just for Trump but also crypto.

Just to lead off, Bitcoin was worth lots of USD before you could ever use it for any transactions, and even then it was only used for buying illegal drugs for years. Know why? Because it acts, like all currencies, as a store of value.

I would be nervous about Trumpcoin...BUT....

The fact of the matter is that there seems to be a serious investment of time, money and energy by the developers. Those videos are not easy to make, the .com domain cost around $5k, the website itself and wiki were investments...and also Payservices' involvement shows me that there is an effort by the dev team.

So, I won't be dumping my Trumps anytime soon (and I hold quite a few). I will hold them to their word, and look towards September with great anticipation.

this isn't a positive selling point, foreign nationals aren't allowed to contribute to US campaigns and the FEC probably isn't going to be ok with anonymity.

TrumpCoin wouldn't be a very effective platform for laundering bribes and kickbacks because of the tiny percentage that actually goes to the candidate, but if it's allowed as a working concept it wouldn't be hard to tweak it so it became a black market powerhouse.

that's what I mean by a narrow window. You'd have to hope the bad press was offset by enough suckers just hearing about it that you'd be able to sell off before the Feds stepped in.

I don't know that it's actually illegal though. Presumably the developers discussed that aspect with lawyers before starting too. It seems it'd be hard to prosecute if you can't prove any of the donations came from foreign nationals.
