It is. I used to work at a call center and make cold calls trying to sell XM radio. I would make 10 sales a day but the managment treated everyone like shit unless you were golden boy who could make at least 25 sales a day. Most people would bitch you out over the phone. A couple of times I had to talk random prospects out of committing suicide. It's difficult talking someone out of suicide when you want to kill yourself everyday.

I worked there for 5 months before seriously contemplating suicide.
