So for creating an indirect method cash flows statement, if insurance pays you 20,000 for a piece of equipment lost to a natural disaster, do you log that 20,000 in Investing?

If I retired my $100,000 of bonds at 107 do I list (107,000) for Bonds Paid under Financing,
OR
Do I list (100,000) from Bonds Paid under Financing, and take whatever amount is listed on the IS as "loss from bonds" and add that to the Operating Costs?
