Difficulty adjust in some hours 10% higher mining difficulty.
We break ath this week.

looks like it adjusted a couple days ago
next one up is next month.
so far it seems like it's expected to go higher.

18 hours left for the difficulty change

https://diff.cryptothis.com/

In general the price follows the difficulty.

I thought it adjusted by hashing power not duration?

>> No.14371022

>>14371005
If there is much hashing power blocks are found faster and thus the network accelerates this means the halving could happen in 4 months.

The difficulty changes according to the hashrates , in this case the hashrate is growing so much that the difficulty will increase to slow down the network.

This is done to guarantee 1 block every 10 minutes and happens automatically every a few weeks.
This is why the faketoshi muh hashing attack paralizing everything is bullshit.

So difficulty goes up, so does the price?

>> No.14371047

>>14371026
There is a relation there because when the difficulty increases miners need more hardware no mine so the base price of mined coins increases.

are you from reddit?
if diff goes up miners think they will make more money

Thanks for the link, I'm a brainlet it didn't register that bitcoin wisdom has been dead for 90 years... shame. In this case, you're absolutely right, glad I bumped your thread.

>>14371005
Technically yeah but realistically it's about every 2 weeks, usually a bit less if there's more miners joining which is often the case.

hyperbitcoinization used to mean bitcoin replacing other currencies, not price rising.

Difficulty follows the price.

I used to agree with you but the days the difficulty change we see massive price changes.

There is something more going on there.

one data point vs literally every difficulty change in existence. There's no logical connection and the correlation would have been noticed a long time ago.
Difficulty increaes because hash power increases, which increases because either asics get more efficient or miners have large profit margins, which means the growth in hash rate was slower than the growth in price

or the 30 of may , basically there is something going on there.

Difficulty adjustment days cause volatility for some reason.

Check the dates , the adjustment tend to be before the price movement in most cases , very weird.

Check also how the december bottom came after the difficulty collapsed.

>>14372262
The bullrun that started in march was after a difficulty adjustment too.

Very weird but there is a connection if i am right after today we moon to the ath two or three days after the adjustment happens in some hours.
