Bitcoin's practically unusable as currency. If you want to buy something, you have to sell it for fiat, and you have pretty limited options. Nobody but speculators wants to touch it, because of its volatility.

Everyone's acting so excited about the price going up, but from what I've heard in the past, when this happens, they usually have a terrible time actually selling it to realize a profit. The exchanges jam up, as if someone's pumping transactions through with a predetermined buyer and seller, not letting the small hodler cash out. Then, when they can sell their BTC again, the price is low.

So what I mean to ask is: is that price real, or are the exchanges jammed up again now that the price is high?
