Assuming I bought like 0.0018 in Bitcoin, then it goes to zero, do I still own 0.0018 in Bitcoin even if it's still at zero?

But if it does, do I lose the theoretical 0.0018 permanently?

My dad gave me 20 bucks. I'm the 1st to admit, I'm clueless af.

No, if you buy .0018 BTC now and then it goes to $0/BTC you will have 0 BTC
Once your BTC drops below 80% initial value it is confiscated by the BTC Core team for lightning network, that's why you have to make sure to time buys right

Read the white paper on lightning network, and welcome to 4chan

If you buy a knee pad and you cant sell it on Craigslist anymore because nobody wants to pay for it. The knee pad disappears.
You have red knees now

all it takes is proof of NSA or whoever being able to crack SHA-256.
note that it is THEIR fucking invention. the chance of them already knowing way more than us is not exactly zero.

Say you bought 1 btc at 10000 dollars and then btc when down to 2000 dollars you would only have 0.20 btc left.

at least BTC has some degree of fortitude in the market by comparison to cash denominations of all different countries which personally seem obsolete in a global economy, especially for countries like zimbabwe when the solution to lack of wealth is just print more/spend more. BTC is just more universal.

Another thing to keep note of is the Bitcoin census.

Every six months you must report a detailed timeline of where exactly your bitcoin have been residing, how many you have had during this period and what they have been doing. Not all that complicated but something you can’t forget about. On the plus side, the SEC (who you report this to) offers incentives to do so (a 5% “bitcoin refund”, waive transaction fees at the major exchanges for a period of time, etc.)

Also make sure to go to the Bitcoin penis inspection.
