On the plus side I convinced my mom that i’d pay her rent in crypto ( I live at home) and she agreed and I paid her in chainlink. Whenever I tell her what her portfolio is worth she can’t believe it, she even got a friend of hers that is into crypto help her buy a coin that was in presale.

I usually avoid the shill coin of the day, but frens, you have been doing a good job covering the progress and possibilities of LINK. My poor ass would have loved to buy a 100K stack, but that wasn't possible.

You'll shoot yourself if link becomes an industry standard and goes way above $5.

On one hand yes it's smart to get your initial investment back but I think crypto is different and beyond that link is different from most cryptos for a couple of reasons.

1. The link network as well as the crypto market as a whole will see less volatility over the next few years as this space matures because of real world adoption. Link is a missing piece to the puzzle for the real world adoption of a lot of blockchains applications. It's only volatile because it's a new market and new markets tend to be insanely volatile. In a few years we might not see things like eth pumping to 1400 then 6-12 months later dumping to under 100.

2. How much did you really put into link? Is getting your initial investment back really going to change the quality of your life? If you put in too much and are financially struggling then go for it recoup some and let the rest ride, it's smart in that case. But in crypto if you have a winner you let that winner ride as long as you can and if volatility does come along try to stomach it because if link does become an industry standard it's going a lot higher than $5. I'd only recommend being a swing linky if you really know how to trade and you really know what you're doing and have a track record of timing the general too and bottom of price action
