how much energy do banks waste? There's millions of bank employees. How much of the world's poverty is caused by the banks printing money and enriching a few individuals?

More transactions doesn't require more hash power. 100x or 1000x the amount of transactions wouldn't require significantly more power.

Though current tech and hardware couldn't scale to all the world's transactions, there's a high probability that it could someday.

Also 32mb blocks could already scale to paypal level and be easily doable on current hardware.
