Here's the problem gentlemen, I'm experienced with Bitcoin on a deep, intimate level, however, how do you effectively communicate and educate a newfag on what Bitcoin is?

What does Bitcoin mean to you? It's all good and well throwing around cryptocurrency vernacular, but how do you explain cryptocurrency initially to someone with an assumed zero knowledge of Bitcoin? Dare I say it, this my mission goal and I am prepared to deep dive and unify synergies.

It's a way to make money. It's going to 100k in 2020. This is the only thing people care about. Normies will not buy the ideology but they will buy the hype and easy money. Basically it's a pyramid scheme.

I think for me, the thing that made me realize how it works is the "distributed ledger" idea. It's basically like if you tried to play monopoly without any of the paper money included. In theory, it would be totally possible to keep track of what everyone has. Every person just needs to shoutout when they are buying/selling and everyone can record on a piece of paper in front of them how much money the person has.

BTC isn't a physical thing. You can never take your bitcoins off the blockchain, even if you have a paper wallet, all it is is just a code to let you access the money that the network currently knows that you have.

Another thing I remember hearing about btc at the beginning was "why can't someone hack it". The thing is everyone is just running nodes so it is distributed, so you would need to take control of a ton of machines. Same thing with a 51% attack (something most wouldn't think of right away after first learning of cryptocurrency).

Just hearing those things would have probably helped me learn a lot at the beginning.

I would like to add thati believe it turns a lot of people on from a philosophical perspective.

When you start to dive in to systems that are designed to be fair, bitcoin is just a work of art. Ideally it will allow for the most effective form of governance that the world has ever had.

Digital gold that is 100% unhackable.
Blockchain is a computer so big you cannot hack it.

Bitcorn is like a digital crop that you farm. The soil is degrading though so you get lower crop yields every couple years.
