Once you ROId your hardware cost it's basically free money.

The days where you could ROI an 1080ti within 4 weeks, even with shit listed on whattomine, are long over.

How much power does it use, is it worth considering? Got the rig already.

Find a project with a low market cap and a high hashrate/miners. Mine and hold, every 6-8 months sell your gpus and buy new ones. Sell only in a bull market.

No, it has been minmaxed by big money since 2017, it's a dead meme.
PoW is not secure outside of the strongest chains these days and it will be less and less the case.

You're better off running PoS (Bean Cash) on a small laptop 24/7.

Makes me 100$ a month, no expensive hardware and shit to buy, just using a small laptop

>Is mining worth the cost assuming you have to pay for electricity?
Short answer, no.
Longer answer, no unless you live in a shithole and can invest a fortune. Otherwise, there are coins that give you rewards as "mining", but there is no proof of work involved. Think of Pi Network -if it end up being an actual thing-, running a Skycoin node or staking a POS/dPOS (ie EOS). Even Stellar gives you interest regularly. Neo, as well as Skycoin, gives you a secondary coin (GAS and CH respectively).

If you have enough free power to run an ASIC, please let me know your secret. Protip: "dad paids" or
"taking juice from someone else" doesn't count.

Some of the highest power prices in the world where I live. So no way it's worth it.

Though my govvy is very controlling, so I mine monero to get past KYC.
