Not how it works. If you improperly file your tax it rolls into next year. If you're late for most things you have around 30-40 days before they even warn you about it. Everything here moves so fuckin slowly - while technically it's quite strict, it's really not.

Maybe its your banks policy, rather than cb, because i do remember my payment didn't go through immediately the first time, but I got a text from my bank saying 'did you make this transaction Y/N?' I replied 'Y' ad Coinbase complied immediately.

I buy BTC in UK under my LTD business. I set up bis account with verification on bitbargain. Write it into your accounts as investment, and you don't have to note any losses or earnings until you withdraw back into the company accounts. At which point, you have to provide full statements from exchanges/platforms etc. That's it.

Be aware of this, there is now a 5 day hold on all GBP transfers to Coinbase. If you send EUR there is no hold which is why I recommended Revolut.

Any competent will do.
Crypto isn't special. It's an investment that goes up and down, that's about it. You just have to track it. You can't just say "£10k in, £30k out". They want to know how. So if you're on Binance or so, you will need to download your transaction history.

I spoke to my accountant only last week about it, they were completely unphased and they're pretty old-school and don't see loads of Crypto if much at all.

They just wanted a statement of what was bought, and what was sold. The value changes inbetween don't really matter, it's start and end price that obviously matters.

If you magically sent a few XMR in or out, or figures don't add up, that's when you're in trouble.

If you're not trying to get away without paying tax etc, any accountant will see this as a pretty straight forward buy in and later sale investment.

Even taking profits off the top is just investment dividends and also very easy on the accounts.

No worries. Been using them since 2014. I've bought a few BTC over the years (some early orders were a fucking fortune in today's money lol). Never had an issue. Recently moved my account to business account as I've always been real happy, and it's genuinely 5 minutes from order to exchange depending on transfer time...

>> No.14225510

>>14225452
No worries. First time in about 2 weeks I can actually give proper info on here and not just add to the shit posting and arguing. If you haven't already got an accountant, ring a couple and ask, but just about anyone should be able to process it as long as you can show deposits and withdrawals.

>> No.14225548

>>14225452
Side note, if you ever lost money on something - I believe it's just a write-off and tax deductible lol. I keep it simple and just buy BTC a few hundred at a time. So I have one note in accounts say "£250 BTC Purchase Invested to (exchange)" and then when withdrawing, it'll be similar back out. Doesn't matter how many shit-coins I play with in between.

If it's a large sum, larger than your business is used to, yes you'd have to warn the bank generally so they don't flag it. They may also have flags raise from certain exchanges or origins.

My plan was to trade into a btc>gbp type trading account when I want to cash and then it's just a direct BACS transfer over multiple smaller orders. Same as when I buy my btc, but in reverse.

I'm a small company, so anything up to 8-10 grand they wouldn't query. If I started dropping £20k out of no where I'd most likely get a phonecall, but nothing more.

If you're planning to cash out £30k-50k in one go, you want to talk to an accountant before you do it. Don't transfer and get fucked somewhere down the road, get it planned first. They may also find ways to save you on tax etc.

You only utilise 33% of your take? I thought my 50/50 was good haha. Yea - scaling is massive headache, I've stuck as a one-man for now because I don't want the hassle. If you're used to taking in £15k+ a month, a reasonable good chunk cash out such as £30k shouldn't be a problem if it's over multiple small transfers like how BitBargain would do it. Statements from the websites etc for all - ezpz. If you're doing it somehow to drop that £30k+ in all in one go - ring the bank and accountant first and get it prepped and done correctly. Don't want them to seize and investigate it, find some BS related to crypto and decide that money is best spent on new pavements instead of your home!

What sort of money you talking? Did your bank never raise why you've opened an account that randomly gets massive cash injections into it and clearly isn't used for domestic expense? There's a reason drug dealer's don't do this sort of thing.

Hopefully you don't get fucked anon.

I run a squeaky clean life, run a business, yadda yadda. Not worth the headache of possible massive tax evasion offence and back-tax. Pay your bills and nothing to worry about. I've know 2 people get done years later, one was tax evasion from around 11 years ago and another from 15 years ago. Every penny owed in full, within 30 days, else they're facing prison time.

Keep a few quid to one side somewhere safe in case you need it.
