Why do so many people fall for the affiliate marketing meme?

>> No.14218350

Because it draws in the same faces of low level conmen who know how to bait a sucker.

bc of the low cost to entry. Can also be done as a side hustle/project on your own time.

Because they're desperate, the world's economy is totally fucked and it's just pretending everything is normal.

I started a site in the beginning of the year it started making $500/mo as of May and so I sold it. Was well worth the time. Have 2 other sites w/ content I just need to make some blog posts so Google starts giving a fuck but it's just so easy.

Desperate and vulnerable people are a rising demographic so things that prey on them are essentially "long positions" on a blatantly trending cash source. That includes MLM, self-help books/seminars/courses, new age type thinking and any products you offer along those lines. It also includes specific niches like PUA and so forth and ride sharing. "Side hustles" and shit like that are brilliant marketing ploys to sell people on horse shit that has anywhere between a negative to breakeven expectancy at best (negative after opportunity cost and time invested).

What are the best affiliate ad networks these days? Been like 10 years since the last time I tried it.

Always here this shit, but if it's that easy why not scale that shit and make 10x the number of sites to make 5K a month?

Or is it absolutely hit or miss, luck or suck whether a site will generate the right kind of traffic and make you money?

hard to find the right keywords, still takes significant time. My true ROI (if I value my time) basically means I'd break even after like 1 year for the first site (if I hadn't sold it which allowed me to profit earlier).

little bit of everything.
I could just start another site. eventually i will find the right niche but (i am the 2k/month poster) I am getting lazy because it's so easy.
