14212167 No.14212167 [Reply] [Original]

I already have a job but have received an offer from another company. I'm thinking of asking them to insert a clause in my contract along the lines of:

>anon reserves the right to not attend any informal drinks/meal, team building, corporate induction, diversity training etc, including those deemed mandatory by the company, either taking place outside or within normal working hours. If these are within normal working hours anon will attend his normal place of work and carry out his day to day role.

I don't care if they think I'm an autist, if I have to be a wagie I refuse to be humiliated at these shitty things. Our last team building session they had us building stuff out of fucking lego.

Can I get some advice anons? Do you think this would be enforceable in a contract if I got it amended? I'm a UKfag if it makes any difference.

As soon as LINK hits $5 I can quit for good anyway.

Very autistic yet very based.

Also

>diversity training
>team building session based on building legos

Western companies are so extremely fucking gay nowadays, wish we could just go back to the 50's where big corporations where just a bunch of coke snorting heartless bastards trying to make tons of money instead of a bunch of bleeding heart homos on a dopamine rush addiction trying to feel like goodies.

I suggest bee yourself anon. And tell us how it goes.

Or, plan B was to amend the contract myself then send it back for them to sign without telling them, I've heard stories of people changing their contract terms and companies being legally obliged to honour them because HR didn't check

I know how that shit goes though, first your manager starts making comments about your attitude being poor and then they start saying shit like 'we'll have to look at formal disciplinary action if you don't attend these mandatory events anon'

I want an airtight way to legally opt out of this bullshit

>> No.14212581

>>14212474
you're attitude is still poor if you opted out legally tho,
just play with the fcking legos

Yes but I thought at least I can't be fired for it?

Do it. If they still hire you they already know you‘re an autist, so no bad surprises for anyone involved. They however may have offered you the job based on the assumption that you‘re a human and therefore drop the offer once you reveal that you‘re an autist

Kek if I didn't already have a job and a fat LINK stack to fall back on I probably wouldn't have had the balls to reveal that I'm an autist. I think I'll do it anon, thanks.

you need to be some hot shit to get away with demanding you be freed from this. Otherwise, everyone would do it.
>b-but its moronic and degrading !
and you think, its not designed to be exactly this ?

>> No.14213036

They will drop the offer the second you even mention that. You really must be a retard tier autist to not realise that

I think HR will just try and play hardball with some bullshit like 'they are standard contracts anon and not really open for negotiation'. What can I respond with if they say this?

This is the UK though not America. Its not so easy to fire people here. Especially as this is a public sector job that I'd be going into

yes you should do that anon. good idea. i hate these events too. some rainbow fags and women came up with this shit in the 80ies but eventually its just hype and bullshit that doesnt contribute at all

Fair enough
They might not even hire you tho, cause your proposal sounds like you have a bad attitude.
Isn't the public sector pretty well paid for relatively chill work?
If so I'd rather play with legos every once in a while before risking that

remove the within working hours line, because it would be easier to justify it that way

why do you care if the company pays you to attend diversity training

Yeah it is relatively chilled work. I took the govpill a long time ago... The only problem is the public sector are even more keen on the whole diversity/corporate culture/team building bullshit that I can't stand

Update: I've emailed HR back requesting them to amend the contract. Will see what they come back with... Expect it will be a couple of days at least
