Here’s the real deal:

350MM are to basically bribe big companies into operating nodes. That makes a ton of sense to me.

350MM are for the team. That’s where shit gets hairy. I can’t fathom any realistic situation where that’s an amount that isn’t going to destroy the price at several points in time. Most companies stop paying in “equity” after the first maybe 40-50 employees which would give each an average of 7MM tokens. Even if they kept giving tokens to the first 100 employees that’s 3.5MM which by then would be worth easily $10MM. It doesn’t make any sense. Who the fuck isn’t going to quit as soon as the tokens are released to them? Meanwhile Serg and the elite crew of first hires will have hundreds of millions of dollars they’ll start dumping over time.

Not even trying to fud I just don’t get how they thought that was a reasonable number to set aside.

Only other thing I can think of is if they’re not awarding that to employees just using it to sell to get cash for when they need to hire so they can pay employees in cash without worrying about making $ any other way, but I don’t totally understand how that works since they’ll eventually run out and I’m sure most employees will ask to get paid in LINK at least partially early on. It’ll still dump the price too. Then if they never need the whole stack what happens to the overage? It’s the grayest area of this project to me.
