Can someone explain to me why we can't just use ETH as an Oracle before it is sent to another ETH to serve as a smart contract? I have never been able to understand around why we need Chainlink when we can use ETH as the Oracle. If we are afraid of having only one type of smart contract to verify the information functioning both independently as an Oracle and as a smart contract, why can't we use a smart contract platform such as EOS/NEO serving as an oracle to ETH (which will function as a smart contract)?

thats why Vitalik even acknowledged the existence of an "oracle problem", right?

someone should go tell the creator of ethereum that he was wrong about its capabilities

Please care to explain Chainlink and why is it unique

I will try to answer your question. It’s good that you ask it because the more questions you ask about link the more you will realize that it’s perfect.

Your question is a bit confusing. Using ETH as an Oracle is basically what the chainLink team is building. I’m not aware of any native Oracle functionality of ETH or one that is as well thought out as link.

I dont want to handhold too hard, but just this week 3 "other smartcontract (TM btw) networks" announced they're using the "industry standard" CL. Is there a reason for that?

It's not about fetching data...it's about doing it securely. Secure enough that an industry will trust it's quadrillion+ (that's 1000000000000000 dollars) being handled by chainlink. CL just got audited by 3? different companies for almost a year to verify their shit is SECURE.

Pajeet-atic or some other chink coin is already 2+ years behind on a working product, without all the partnerships and user incentives (free links for companies starting nodes).
