I think its clear at this point in time that society has effectively split into 2 echelons - those who live with their parents and those who pay rent. Effectively, those who live with their parents are the new quasi-aristocratic class, and those who work to pay rent are the new feudal class. Just look at all the people who do vlogs for a living, or travel all the time, always vacationing, basically those who truly enjoy their lives - these people are living with their parents. Because of obsurd housing prices, those whose living quarters are unaccounted for now are forced to give 50%+ of their paycheck to rent every single month. Couple this with a crumbling labor economy (yes unemployment is down but job security, benefits, healthcare and pension matching are basically gone from most mid-level jobs) and you have a recipe for disaster for anyone unfortunate enough to not have parents to fall back on. These people must work to survive and survive to work. Meanwhile, those who live with their parents are able to pool all of their resources (time & money) into whatever pursuit they wish to do. I understand that not every person who follows their dream "makes it", however I think we can all agree that the pursuit of your dream in the first place is what makes a person feel happy & fulfilled, as opposed to someone who has to wageslave. Hence the aristorats are fulfilled and happy while the wageslaves are depressed and miserable. I'd like to note here that I am not necessarily applauding NEETS. People who live with their parents should work as well so that they save closer to 100% of their income since parents usually pay for food as well.

Regardless of how much you make at your job, if you pay rent then you are a slave, plain and simple. You can argue it has always been this way but given how expensive housing has gotten you can forget about even dreaming of someday escaping this hell. Your shortsighted boomer parents sold you out to a life of misery. It sounds like a deflection mechanism, blaming someone else for your troubles, but the reality is such. If you someday manage to take out a mortgage or get a great job, you've still lost. Your life will be spent slaving to ensure that your kids are able to live the aristoratic life. Your kids will have another shot at a humane life but at your expense. Best case scenario.

I came to this realization today. A persons status in the 21st century basically depends entirely on how well acquainted to the world YOUR PARENTS are, not you. I know that there are people on /biz/ who live alone because they have deadbeat parents, or because of whatever circumstance. I am one of those people. There cannot be another revolution of this sort. Wealth is stored in offshores now, the means of productions are located in foreign countries. There is nothing to seize. I live rent free with my parents and started saving money back in November or so, I've currently got £5250 in a savings account and another couple of grand in my current account. There's literally no chance I could be doing this if I was renting due to the insane rent charged in this city. My only regret is the fact I was pising my money up the wall from summer 2016 until winter last year.

Then had over a million in gains in 2018 and realized that crypto-crypto taxes come in to play for people with substantial gains like me and a lot of people that went the straight route of getting an accountant are gonna cash out, and sold 90% of it and then it actually crashed. And now I'm using my gains to start a niche business that I invented a machine to fuck the competition up.
