150k is in JPM money market acct and I've thought about the 250k FDIC insurance limit, breaking it up across multiple big name banks (but a bit spooked because 2008 happened and no bank is completely trustworthy. Even small banks are FDIC insured. Even in a crisis that causes the Deposit Insurance fund to be entirely used up, the government is required by law to fork over the money whether by taxes or taking on debt.

That’s what freaks me out about shorting, and why I opt for levereged inverse etf. They can’t tak more money than the amount I bought, right? They can’t just say qqq went up, so now I have to buy more sqqq?
