this is true in a lot of places but its very difficult to get proof of that and its not like they will tell you the reason they didnt hire you and if you ask "you were not the right fit". a lot more prevalent in places like retail chain where the owner or manager probably does all the hiring based on a look at your resume and a simple interview.
