Although I don't agree in them being "difficult to trade" (just make sure its liquid and high vol lul), I do suggest only using them for day trades, never hold that shit overnight. If you are, just go with a non-leveraged version, only 1x.

Also, they're not that complicated, unless you're buying into an ETF that deals in rolling over futures contracts, contango/backwardation, ETNs (notes), etc etc. Most of the major SPDR and big name lev etfs that deal w main indicies don't mess with all that. 2 - When I first started, I deep dove into everything technical, all the indicators oscillators, all that shit, and I can tell you: the best way to trade is to keep it as clean and light as possible. Let the movements of the market do all the gruntwork.

4h/Daily cands and up are good for trend trading. You want to cap a large meaty part of trends that get kicked upward and climb for weeks, then get out when people start to dump in force.

Just view this chart for a very simple example, it uses 2 simple, common lines: the 200 SMA (green) and the faster, shorter term 50 SMA (blue). Blue above green is stronger. Price above both of those is strongest run. Observe certain recurring scenarios for entry:

RB: Risky Buy, the 50 is under 200, but the price is breaking above the 50 at this time. Its risky to buy in, but strength is increasing. If you buy, set a tight stop to get out in case it fails (chances are higher it will with a buy here)

B1: A bit of a stronger buy than RB, as price has already surpassed 50, and is now passing above 200. Again, you're going to want to set stops in case in flounders, you can see it does in a few situations here, falls back under 200.

B2: This is the safest and seemingly most strongest time to buy. Price has recovered, blown past 50, 200, and now youre using the 50 crossing up over the 200 as the sign of most strength. You've missed a chunk of gains on the way up, but have also sidestepped any risk and time it could have carried on the way up.

S: Price that falls sharply under 50 then 200 indicates a nice point to short. Shorting once a dagger under 200 is a chance to profit, but you'll need tight stops. If the 50 follows and falls under the 200, carries more strength on the dagger.

Once you're in a strong trend (2016 to 2018), its nice to move stops up, a little under 200 sma, wouldve safely got you out in 2018 when market rolled. Strong daggers down are good, because you can start monitoring for RB B1 B2 buying again

Also to add, these are just 2 simple indicator overlays, but observe as many different companies from diff sectors and charts as you can, see what your tolerance for buying and setting stops are. Try as hard as possible to avoid hindsight bias and remain neutral when observing charts, don't run into confirmation bias. Lets stops take you out small if youre wrong and let you run big and hot if youre right. Find a nice clean combo if things that help give you an edge. Personally, I also like the Ichimoku cloud as a tell sometimes (just the cloud part, strip out all the other lagging lines). Don't be afraid to pull out to longer candles & timeframes.

Normally, its only for TDA account holders. However, its very easy to set up a TDA account, you fill out the info, bank ACH send over like 50 bucks, and get it all set up. Then if you really want, you can send back like 49 bucks back out to your bank w just a dollar in TDA. Koyfin + FinViz is a pretty good combo for keeping tabs on markets. Like the anon from earlier in the thread said: don't overwhelm yourself with technicals. I don't think a new console generation will save them at this point. Net income has been declining since 2016 and they posted a loss in 2019. I'd say unless they figure out a way to get more asses in the stores their days are numbered.
