Just reading the comments from newspapers and its pretty clear the average person has no understanding of Bitcoin still in 2019. Many of them actually sound like they despise it and want it to fail. Why is this? I thought people had a basic understanding of it by now

normies despise it because they invested in some ico scam or know someone that did and think that was bitcoin or because they fomo'd in during the 2017 bullrun and sold low

These same normalfags that despise crypto and want it to fail are the ones who insist "refugees" are a gift from god and we must let every single one of them in.

Normalfags cannot be trusted, they know nothing about anything

Bitcoin is not something that is currently desperately needed by the average person. People would rather trust something more centralized, regulated, tightly controlled.

>Cryptocurrencies are just another kind of snake oil, that perform no useful purpose. Crypto cheerleaders are just the newest incarnation of the financial spivs that continue to rob ordinary people and they should be regulated out of business.

>> No.13966158

If the current crop of cryptocurrencies are lottery tickets, they are ones that have been drawn in crayon by a 5 year-old. That anyone is willing to spend good (proper) money on them is the victory of greed over common sense. Let's wait until a proper bank from an economically sound country starts issuing its own digital currency, then we'll see if they have a future.

I read the article & comments.
I just don't buy the 'you need a PhD in cs & mathematics just to buy btc' horseshit in the least.
It's as complicated as buying a book on amazon.
all weak fud, the contempt for people who use/hold/invest/trade crypto is obvious cognitive dissonance induced rage & mostly generational.

boomers are salty because its new and unfamiliar. crypto adoption will moon when kids born into crypto start making money because they will see fiat and crypto both as actual money instead of a ponzi scheme

I have no desire to see it or any ones investments fail, but, they did not do their due diligence in ANY investment and fail, well, will not feel sorry for them.As for knowing about bitcoin ect.,well, can barely work a computer much less coin.

Guardian readers are probably the most twisted group of boomers in the world. They want everything to fail and if you let them talk freely they'll tell you a story about being on a beach in the 1970s

How does that phrase go?

First They Laugh At You,
Then They Ignore You,
Then They Fight You,
Then You Win

Right now we are in the 3rd phase. This bullrun will happen followed by a crash to 16-20K, after which there will be a massive recession in 4 years causing BTC to be used as a safety net for Americans fulfilling the $1M by 2024 prophecy and you can screencap this.
