Your best bet is to dollar cost average (I buy once a month on the 10th) , or, if you want to do at least some speculating, then divide your money up and buy on down/red weeks.

Gold is probably the least risky investment option. If economy goes down, gold goes up as a hedge. If economy goes up, then inflation bleeds over into gold.

Bitcoin is good choice as well. However, it does have a marketing problem right now. It does mean that Btc has a lot of potential to grow.

America has had an economic expansion since 2009, so it's coming up to the longest economic expansion since 1900 within a year.

So if you do buy stocks, keep in mind that they are historically expensive right now. That doesn't mean that they can't go up, but that the only time in history where equities were more expensive was in the year 2000.

Nobody knows the future. Trump could come out next week and take a giant big shit on a picture of China's President and the markets could tank, or a trade deal could be brokered.

For what it's worth, I'm in a leveraged short of the NASDAQ 100 with $120,000 worth. So I've made my bed in regards to where the market is headed. I hope I'm not wrong.

I'd be careful, bitcoin only ever really had big price actions in tandem with the equities run up post 2010.

It's never been tested in a deflationary shitshow. I think people will want dollars. If it's an inflationary scenario, bitcoin will go up with gold.
