It's more about mindshare and use cases.

For example in Japan an ungodly amount of businesses still use the fax machine. Most people email each other with their phones. iMessage exists, Whatsapp exists but they are not particularly behooved to move on.

Fantom has the job of convincing people who hold ETH to move to their platform, while it may be technically objectively better there are more factors at play to convince people to make the switch. As well as that there are a bunch of altcoins trying to do what ETH does. They are where they are because ETH is 'good enough'. Shit we haven't even hit peak ETH yet.

But, I have basically been baited because everything I have said is obvious to anyone with worthy skin in the game.
