depends on the data - if the information can help settle a contract worth $100k+, or even just in the thousands, it's a small price to pay

obviously it is a deterrent for low-value data sources

but

we're talking about the world's leading tech & finance companies. their data is valuable, and a small fee to get the benefits of trusted inputs into their smart contract is well worth it
