I almost always use the robinhood desktop to actually place trades, tradingview for long term charting since I have all my notes on there, and thinkorswim for lvl 2. I sometimes use my app if I get a notification and want to sell something while I'm at work.

Heres my sitch /smg/ - I have $15k I rolled over from my 401 to a vanguard IRA. Was thinking of buying REIT etfs(seem overbought tho), some total stock/s&p ETF, and some divvy ETFs. Should I sit comfy in cash and hope the market dips considerably or dca in? Should I go all in on divvys?

What is more likely to fail, a government or a bank? (Answer: banks) That's the main reason this is even a remote possibility.

You could go outside of the banking system and hold it in a vault, but you'd have to pay for the facility and have insurance on it, which would be a negative yield :P

Either way, you're paying for the privilege to hold cash, or something that functions as cash. And if there's downturn in the economy, high quality Govt. bonds will go up in value. So it's also a hedging tool.

I could defo see it going to trade places with AMD and be 16 a share but the reason why I think Intel is utterly dead is there are so many pajeets who looked up to Intel as kids who would love a chance to be CEO and get a LOT of engineer friends and try to make something of it.

So looking at the S&P and NASDAQ minis, I'm looking at the bottom graph, my understanding is the red line is the banks and the brokers, and as far as I can tell they're SLIGHTLY long on the nasdaq, and a little bit short on the S&P?

And then they're almost completely neutral on the 10-year, but VERY short on the Rouble?

The redline "dealers" are the same as top redline Commercials but more specific. These are Hedgers (hedgefunds, SP committee or governments hedging). Large specs and Asset managers are the Mutual funds/banks

Leveraged funds are unimportant and includes small specs, small specs are retail

Idk about the "rouble" because forex/commodities involve different ways of looking at the cot, its not relevant to the index
For instance Gold large specs are important but Silver large specs are not, you use Producers for that

Maybe it’s just wishful thinking that we’ll get a real selloff. Since futures are only slightly green, I expect little motion tomorrow, as there will be no one rushing to take profits or buy dips. But I don’t think this is over, unless the new PPT is ready to juice things.

Side note: Do you know what matters with lean hogs futures? Looks like the big boys are very heavily long. Producers very short (a hedge?). I suspected a month ago that I had missed any trades on this, since commodities traders seem very up on things.

I notice the powder is very high in sodium, but pea protein is very hot right now, used in a lot of packaged food products. Never tried beyond’s products, but I don’t see how they could compete with impossible. if impossible ever rolls out large scale, and manages to be affordable, it’ll absolutely dominate the market.

But I do know from Metals/gas, that the PRODUCERS are what effect the price, not the large specs. The producers are most important for commodities. This is very important difference between them and indices
