Why are you holding a token that can never, ever surpass the value of it's host chain?
If (and that's a massive if) it surpasses the market cap of ETH (or whatever chain it runs on), the chain will just get 51% attacked. Unlike any other POW or POS token, the value of LINK doesn't determine it's security - it has to be less valuable than it's host chain to function.

I will explain this one last time and use a simple analogy.
A computer is powerful and can do a lot of things in theory, but without an operating system, internet connection and electricity it can’t do shit.
Likewise an operating system has the potential to do a lot of things, but without an internet connection this is greatly limited. Electricity and internet are enablers for this whole thing to function.
Now why does this fucking matter you ask? Well faggot nolinker this might be the luckiest day of your life.
Electricity in the analogy above is bitcoin.
Blockchain is the computer.
The operating system (windows) is ethereum and all its dapps.
Chainlink is the internet connection.
Which one of these 4 components are worth the most? You can’t give a value on them because they are all enablers of each other, one will not be amazing without the other. So if you are smart you buy Link while it’s still in the 1$ range, you thought 1000 $ eoy is a meme? Think again.

How is bitcoin electricity? I understand the Ethereum and Chainlink analogies, they make perfect sense, but I am lost on how bitcoin would be analogous to electricity...wouldn't smart contracts still function perfectly well without bitcoin?

this analogy is faulty.
it implies that people will buy eth because link is doing well, which isn't the case.
businesses don't randomly invest in a highly volatile token just because it's related to a system they use.

Your perspective is rational; however, ethereum is the only public blockchain that is being considered for serious enterprise usage...it has already won the public blockchain race.

i don't really understand it and nobody is giving me any tips in the other thread thanks

Also by your logic, why would people invest in link just because ethereum is doing well.

The "serious enterprise usage" has mostly evaporated by now. Companies tried to generate hype by attaching themselves to the new hot trend, but jumped off after realizing that it doesn't offer many benefits.
>>13847789
that's simply not true. link dumped in sats when eth pumped, and it pumped when eth dumped. we are still in a btc market, so you have to use sat values to gain a better perspective.

Linktards are unable to think in the realm of reality and spend all day thinking of weird analogies to make their delusions sound viable.

Nigger your shitcoin ERC had 65% of the supply held by Sir Gay. He's a faggot loser fat retard and he's going to dump on you after doing nothing for two years.

Linktards know absolutely nothing about programming or tech. I can't wait for his, and then your exit from this board.
