>> No.13839424

I was in Bel Air a few weeks ago and trust me when I say that this is the most Godless place on the planet. The homes are embedded into the mountains and use a combination of elevation and shrubs to hide themselves from the main road. They compete on elevation mainly. The craziest thing is that just when you thought you saw the most insane home on the planet, you check Google Maps and see a building triple the size above that one. You truly have to be mentally ill to engage in this level of disconnection....

I fucking hate houses with low privacy. Absolutely fucking cannot deal with other people's windows in front of mine, the idea of thousands of people easily peering into my damn living room with a pair of $50 binoculars is disgusting.

I've seen a shitload of apartments in London and New York that are in the tens of millions and yet are surrounded closely by other buildings windows. I mean, it's not even that privacy glass shit.

Usually everyone is quick to knock the over-extravagance of the place. While it is, that isn't the deal breaker if I could afford this. The lack of any privacy would be. Maintenance would also be a bastard because I don't like people coming over to clean a section of the house every day or two. Very fucking distracting and you're introducing vulnerabilities by letting strangers into your home all the time.

One should really only buy a house they can fully maintain themselves.

>> No.13843050

Somebody will eventually buy it and it will likely be some billionaire from another country. It's overpriced, considering it started at 250M and is now 150M. They tried building the best house in the hills and tried to make killer profit on it. Once LINK hits $1k EOY, I'll try as hard as I can to buy it. I may turn it into a LINK holding house, but you must have at least 50-100k LINK to live there. I hold 250k LINK and I will probably get it for about 100k LINK because they are trying to get rid of it ASAP. I bet the cost of maintaining that house would be $250-$500k/year.
