This is an interesting project. Its "mining" is done entirely via consensus -- you and other network member devices automatically vote on what the next block should be, and it comes from that consensus. In addition, you can add users to your network to increase the viability of your secure voting on those blocks.

This is kind of like BAT; the value of the token is the attention you spend verifying that you are a human. In advertising, you are the product, and this coin embraces that ideal. Eventually it can be used to pay content providers. Hopefully. We'll see. For now, it's basically a faucet.

I wouldn't call pi a lot of money. It's like being early adopters of anything. Maybe it'll moon, maybe it'll be worth like two cents a coin. We don't know. Personally, I intend to try to run a node when mainnet hits. I've gone past mining and I think being an early adopter on network nodes is way more productive.

They don't know yet. Intent for a lot of the tech for this is Q4 2019. This is an early adopter faucet, basically. The mining rate is halved at each order of magnitude, so getting in earlier is better.

I think what's gonna happen here is we're gonna see a lot of people who are generally curious about it but don't stick with it, and then we'll see people who do and gain from it. When mainnet hits, they intend to take all the inactive accounts and delete their coins. Same goes for botters. Though, a sufficiently motivated botter could probably figure a way around their anti bot measures.
