I did temp one christmas season. It was demanding asf, could only do it a couple months. You're tracked constantly, they run everyone's numbers and fire you if you don't keep up. I was a stower ama

Because they can?
Because the machines are actually in control and are harvesting our energy? idk dude capitalism offered me $12/hr to work 10 hr days so I said yes until my knees hurt too much. Unironically needed kneepads
it's the kind of work if you can turn your brain off you'll be fine. It's mindless and easy. I have adhd or whatever also my body wasn't suited for being on my feet so much.

Yep, possibly the worst job of my life. The only way to handle it is to strive for mediocrity

i don't doubt that the job is very demanding and shit, but was it worth it in the end? was there any extreme exhaustion/deterioration of wellbeing? the pay is unmatched as far as entry-level goes so unless theres serious drawbacks its worthwhile in my situation

It was extremely draining, that's why I quit, but I'm a skinny artist type who was addicted to drugs 9 years ago. If you are physically fit you can manage. The hardest part is the repetitive mindlessness

>> No.13772082

I have worked there on and off seasonally for years. It isnt bad at all. I've worked factories that are way worse for less. If you're a pussy it may be tough but other than that not bad.

>> No.13772101

Also, if you arent fit the first week or so will be hell. Get over that hump and you're fine. Look at it this way- you're getting paid to stay in shape and your health is priority number one.

I was a third party dispatcher and driver for amazon prime delivery, I worked out of an amazon prime warehouse.

I don't understand how desperate somebody has to be to work these fucking jobs, it's the definition of wage slavery.

Actually I have flat feet. It was really hard bending down over and over, like I said the repetitive motion was wack.

This job is not forever.

you should get a shit job and then use that money to find a new job. Figure out what job you want. learning the skills required to get that better job. if this shit job takes the stress of no-money way then absolutely get your shit job. it'll free you up to think about new things
