Booms' day is the day the boomers will get their comeuppance for screwing over the world economy. The dollar is going to collapse, gold will suddenly vanish from Singapore and Hong Kong (Vault curators are going to exit scam to South America), and the RMB is going to collapse. This will all occur as a consequence of the US revoking the Hong Kong trade treaty. Accordingly, to prevent further devaluation of the RMB Xi Jinping will pass legislation outlawing the purchase of overseas properties, and detaining the owners of overseas properties until they have sold their assets. This will lead to a massive world-wide housing collapse, specifically in the United States coastal cities. This will be an unprecedented real estate collapse, and this coupled with the destruction of many pensions and retirement accounts will lead to mass homelessness of Boomers (Hence the term Booms' Day)

What I'd like to know from you guys is what you think the general trade power in Asia is going to be after booms' day / revoking of Hong Kong as a special trade zone

I feel it could be Japan or Vietnam. Because neither of those countries have close ties to China. This is different from somewhere like Singapore which is heavily influenced by China. But both of those countries could be isolationist and that could prevent them from filling the trade vacuum. I am leaning towards Japan as they already engage in significant international trade, but Vietnam should not be underestimated as it has a very high level of entrepreneurship per capita

It's not about Trump, he may very well prevent him from happening as he is more savvy than most other politicians. What is going to occur is a US president (most likely a liberal) will revoke the HK Treaty as a result of the Chinese government violating the conditions of Hong Kong independence in the judiciary and voting. I'm going to say it will occur in 3 years
