got in at 400 something and wont start selling of 1/5ths or more before >1k sat. do not be suprised to see flo above 1.5-2k.

$sys is right now nearing the end of the same type of accumulation phase btc had from jan-sep 2015. alts move way faster than btc and we'll see $sys get its tripling soon as well.

lastly if $rads doesn't do a 50% retrace(14ksat) towards highs then shoot me dead. after that it's up to the devs to make it stick or go higher.

notes: if bitcoin goes on a bullrun past 800 within the next month and a half then altcoin price goals have to be tightened.

it's a legit crypto project that has made progress, sooner or later it's gonna pump that's just a fact of life. i don't know enough about it to say if it's severely undervalued or not. even if it's correctly valued it'll still pump sooner or later and if you get in on 10-11sat then you're not really taking much risk compared to holding in btc.

Don't buy into it now.

I could be wrong, I just don't think I am.

You're better longing BTC right now on whaleclub (link in OP under exchanges) and buying into DGB around 50-52 sats, DOGE (due for a pump sooner or later) around 38-40 sats on poloniex or bittrex.

Best time to buy into ETH is to see what the outcome is after they decide what they do with the hacker's DAO/ETH. If they let the hacker keep it then short it on whaleclub, if hardfork then wait.

Look in the OP for list of exchanges and look at whaleclub, poloniex, dgb

I'm not looking for a long-term investment, just something I can put some money in for a few months, hopefully see a substantial value increase, and then cash out.

That's why I'm considering things like Dogecoin and Trumpcoin, because they seem to have potential for small increases in value that would provide a decent bit of cash for a student.

You need to look at when DGB was adopted by League, then you have to look at charts for correlation

people aren't going to pump this if the existing market is saturated, there might very well be enough DGB right now.

I think you need to anticipate when a new game adopts it and just know that a pump will come (assuming my theory for it's pumps are true).

But then again you might be true, I just think it's unlikely for the reasons you gave.

Rule Number #1 of Crypto - take what you hear from other people with a grain of salt

Number #2 - Predicting the market is harder than stocks. Anyone who claims differently is a moron/shill/scamming you.

Number #3 - Every coin is a scam

Number #4 - Every coin is a gamble. Some coins are volatile, some are not. Ideally you should invest in the volatile ones.

Number #5 - If you have coins in a dead coin, or if you are stuck holding the bags, hold, do not panic sell. There's always the chance a dead coin is raised up as a zombie and you can recoup your losses.

These are the rules of crypto. Good luck.

Also I am surprised no one has mentioned Nexus. It's a big sleeper and a genius coin. It's destined to hit it big.

Oh and of course Trumpcoin infused with /biz/ meme magic. You'd have to be an idiot not to invest in the coin of Kek.

i'd stick to dgb then if i was you. it's the hardest shilled coin i've seen in at least half a year. that doesn't happen just for fun.

i don't think the coin is particularly good and i dont own it myself but that has never stopped shitcoins from doubling over nothing before.

point is i'd feel pretty safe that you're gonna get some kind of return on your dgb bet. unlikely it'll happen in the short short term though. probably will be a shakeout of people who are doubting just like you did in your post before takeout

now to common sense(does not apply to cryptos): dgb market cap is up like 3.5xover the last 6 months while price is up 50%. if we get a tripling in price then the mcap of this shitcoin is up 11x over the last 7-8 months.

massive inflation and no gamer in the world has ever heard of it. it's the speculant and pnd'er coin. even if we hit 150sat sometime in the next 2 months, make sure you have realistic expectations and sell out little by little because this shitcoin is going back down to 50 sats again without some lottery level luck. and guess what, then you can do it all over again. that's the plan of the people running the pump too.

If my shorts get filled i'll be doing 0.5btc until margincalled, until 7 hours have passed(up for debate), or until we hit 640(where i sell half). i'm doing max possible leverage and you'll find that on bitmex(50x).

the risk reward probably isn't good enough to get in below $663, although i'm really fucking certain btc will drop like a brick very soon. my TA says a big move is imminent and a big move up would mean moon phase initiated which won't happen until late next week - ergo the move has to be down.

basically bband has to widen on the 4H chart, for it to widen on a bull move we would break certain barriers that are very unlikely to happen before 23-27th. if we end up breaking those barriers and 4H bbands start widening on a bull move then btc has already started its serious move towards 1k+ and you should get a shitton into 10x longs on okc.

i don't think anyone has the faintest idea what btc will do longterm, there are some very good signs that it'll go on a bullrun though and that means we'll break the 780 high we hit. I was bearish on bitcoin 2 weeks ago thinking halvening bubble would burst and we'd be back down at 520 for a while, right now i'm super bullish at least the next 30 days.

8th days until btc bullrun starts imo.

>Also, are there any good exchange/cryptocurrency tracking apps for mobile?

i use bitcoin checker for price updates/alarms(works for all shitcoins as well as bitcoin), idk about any mobile software for graphs but i'm sure it exists.

Are you seriously interested in trading/cryptocurrencies? if you're into trading maybe focus on bitcoin, if you're into cryptocurrencies and picking winners based on pnd/technology then focus on altcoins.

if you have no previous knowledge of anything then i suggest you use twitter search function before doing anything. example if you're looking into investing in rads, twitter search $rads and see what other traders have to say about it. find people who talk sense and has a good trackrecord and suck in knowledge.

for bitcoin trust crypto cobain(twitter), for altcoins trust noone but listen to everyone. create a network of people you want to hear opinions from. here's an idea i'd never think of myself that i found through twitter. note that i said idea not fact https://twitter.com/CarpeNoctom/status/751888011420459008

Thanks for the advice, man. Copied and saved so I can come back to it.

I'm a total noob, pretty much, just hoping to hold a bit of several promising altcoins until one comes through big like Bitcoin did. If Bitcoin drops, I'll probably buy $100 more and just hold for it to increase.

I don't like most social media, but I'll make a Twitter and find some accounts to follow. Thanks for taking the time!

One last thing: Ethereum. Should I buy now, or wait until after the hard fork to see if it drops? I'm only willing to put about $100 worth of Bitcoin into it; I started with $300 in BTC, I've invested ~$100 in various altcoins and I want to hang on to at least $100 in BTC, as it is essentially the only cryptocurrency taken seriously.

If you could help me out with a total fucking idiot newb issue I would be very grateful, and it's hard to find this explained in detail anywhere..

So on Bitmex and Whaleclub.. let's say I want to long BTC because I think the price is going to go up. Okay, well it's not hard to see what's going on but I'm just fundamentally having a hard time understanding what's really happening.

For BTC/USD, when I long BTC, how am I getting those bitcoin? I'm not buying them with USD. There's no USD in my account? You can't add USD.. is the site automatically saying, okay.. You have .5 BTC. We'll leverage that so you can work 10x with 5 BTC, and then the site does the work of giving you all the BTC.. then you sell it higher and you only owe them the leverage back?

I don't even know what I'm saying, the more and more I think about it the more questions I raise in my mind and the more confused I get. Could you possibly explain what's going on succinctly in a way that makes sense? I can't make heads or tails of how this works and feel retarded.

>> No.1385852

>>1385786
You have to buy BTC with USD, or trade another commodity (in this case, cryptocurrency) for those BTC. Getting BTC initially is a bit of a pain in the ass. You could use LocalBitcoin, Circle, or any other method, but most likely any method other than LocalBitcoin (where you complete the trade in person) will require you to verify your identity over a process of a couple days using a state or government-issued identity card (drivers license etc).

I used Circle, just call them and say you want to speed up the ID verification process and they should email you asking for pics. After you send them in it takes a few minutes, then you will be able to buy BTC using dollars, send that BTC to any trading site like Poloniex or C-CEX, and begin trading.
