Can't wait for Chainlink powered bounty hunter system. Although it's going to be difficult determining who killed the person. One way would be to have the bounty listed up, then a bounty hunter would accept it and if the contract gets information within 1 month that the person is dead, then the bounty hunter gets paid. This would introduce another problem. FBI or other LE will be accepting the contracts and staying idle. But there is a way to fix this as well. Bounty hunters could be verified. For example you could see if the hunter has accepted bounties in the past and completed them. Kind of like a reputation system to weed out the LE. There could also be a staking system. To accept the contract you would have to stake like $10k and if the person isn't dead within a month, the bounty hunter will lose its stake.

It's going to be inevitable. There are already ways through different government databases and even companies to know if a person is dead.

It seems more likely that an assassination market would exist on an augur fork, which would use LINK to verify death via police / coroner / news reports

Would it be possible for a LINK contract to pay someone in monero?

This is dumb af. The name of the person to kill would have to be public on the chain.

NSA will track who is staying abreast of the relevant data inputs required to complete the contract.

Criminals will have to meet face to face and use different methods of trust and payment.

No. With prediction markets it's actually quite easy to ensure the killer gets rewarded without knowing their identity. It goes like this: Bob wants Suzie dead. Bob bets $5k that she will not be dead by Tuesday next week.
Mike is an assassin. Mike anonymously bets $100 (you could adjust minimums to ensure no free loaders) she will be dead by Tuesday. If she is dead, Mike the assassin gets paid.

Now, there is no financial incentive for your neet ass to throw down $100 on every prediction market bet that someone will die, b/c the rate of actual assassin's is so low.

No you retards don't understand. You make a listing saying u want person X killed. For the bounty hunter to accept the contract he needs to put like for example $10k down to make sure he isn't just some police accepting contracts and doing nothing until contract expires and then accept again. Then once $10k is deposited, he has a certain timeframe(set by the contract lister) to kill the person X. The contract will check input from different sources(gov databases, newspapers etc). If it gets input that person X is dead then it pays out to the bounty hunter.
