I'm scared that some sneaky virus that I don't know even exists on my computer will somehow take my linkies from the wallet. Although I have been using a bitcoin electrum wallet for over a year with no problems at all, while leaving bitcoin in there for some longer periods of time, I'm still paranoid that some virus will somehow get my linkies. If LINK goes 2x in price, then I'll buy a laptop where I'll only have my LINK on, absolutely nothing else.

Also the team should fucking list LINK on some regulated exchange like Coinbase or Gemini now that the mainnet will be out.

Coinbase Wallet, new app as of Feb. You can link it right up to your cuckbase if you want to be a good goy and pay your taxes. Exodus is good also, but Coinbase wallet has some extra security features for peace of mind.

Ledger is the safest bet however.

Get the new Trezor instead. I've used both and feel much more comfortable now. I bought it after having trouble confirming transactions in Chrome and Brave with my ledger and wanted to avoid that problem in the future. It's $160 but you're talking about securing a fortune.

>> No.13708638

So you can use the words on a new ledger to access your stinkies if yours breaks/fails, but what if you leave them on there and in 5 years you try to get your linkies, but it's broken and ledger went out of business. Are you fucked?

This. Send a little to your new wallet first, then try to send some out of your new wallet. If it all goes well, send the rest. Also, make sure you send a small amount of eth to your wallet for the transaction fees.

Like the other anon said, do a little amount, binance withdrawal fee is less than 2 link. Do a test with 15 or 20 link, only costs you 2 link per withdrawal.

Get familiar with my ether wallet. Also put some eth in it first

Also store a backup of seeds in a seperate physical location. If it is not in code, put it into some sort of code. Like find them all in a text that you could buy or find anywhere, exact publishing copy etc mark page numbers and which word. You can figure out what I mean. Easy to find book or text, and a very big one that contains all your words like a dictionary.

Also, try to memorize them

You can also do a secret passphrase hide some link on the surface if you get burglarized and held hostage or something. Put the big stack behind the passphrase kept in your brain and in the brain of a trusted friend or family member.
