Maybe you're feeling super clever because you think the fact that capitalism has shortcomings is some wild mystery that only you have uncovered with your big brain?
Capitalism has issues sure. No one thinks it is perfect. But it is free.
And you know what, the only firm of government that's been tried that was better than capitalism, no one is allowed to support anymore because they almost 1v9'd the whole world (that's a video game phrase for you, I'm not sure what the fortnight equivalent is).

Listen I tell you what, lots of kids get excited at the same part of their life as you, for the same reasons. You think you found the easy way to solve all the world's problems, all you have to do is convince everyone to revolt with you.

But the first half of college is like that. The second half of college, and getting out into the real world and experiencing life, might change your mind a little bit =D

For 1 I'm a millennial, not a zoomer. I think it's height of hubris for anyone to assume things would be so different if they were in charge.

I think most people know that capitalism sucks, and no, it's upside is not "freedom". The upside is material wealth and the power which is up for grabs.

Revolt is a historically contingent event, it can't be brought about by any widespread thought on its own. Revolution and civil war are also bloody things and I'd prefer not to see them happen. They are, however, real possibilities.

And as for myself, I'm between jobs atm, but I used to work in the public sector. And yes, I have graduated from college. I've seen how capitalism works at the highest levels, in a place everyone here knows by name.

It's all about how much money you have. You need to tell them a multiple of $5.50.
<number of shares you held at close on April 29> * 5.50 is the max normal subscription

Any amount more than that, up to just 14 million shares minus your normal subscription ($77 million dollars, minus your normal subscription) is how much you can oversubscribe.
They will send you money back for GALT price Volume Weighted Average for 25 trading days before May 29, and any shares that your over-subscription can't purchase.

remember, it has to be a multiple of 5.50, a full normal subscription is 5.5x your shares at the rights date, and you can over-subscribe pretty much as much as you want.

Before I started building it up I was a young 20 something. Blew money on shit I didn't need, spent money paying off my truck. Racked up a credit card bill. By 2012 I said enough's enough. Paid my debts, started saving every dime. Soon I'd amassed 24k. Would've been more but you know shit happens. It's all perspective, depending if you see the GALT/LCI index or the LCI/GALT index

the LCI/GALT index is just a record of GALT's failure. But it's got some upside, some room to run if it gets legs under it.

The (LCI+GALT)/VTI index is really just a visual, almost artistic, vision of the failure of our very own /smg/ memestocks.
On almost any timescale, investing in VTI or SPY will result in much better gains than LCI and/or GALT. in fact if you want to lose out by 10x, you could have done that in just the past 5 years by holding LCI and GALT instead of SPY

LCI/GALT on the left, LCI& GALT together vs the markets (losing) on the right

I'll probably do 200 instead of 250.
I would just do 100, but I think if there is under-subscription to the RO they get less $$ to do the trial (the whole point of the RO). So I'll go way, way, super overweight on GALT.

I'm only at 140 shares of GALT now, but I'm also holding ~1K worth of calls. So if the GALT price goes down I get megacucked, if it goes up or stays somewhat steady I'll be OK (I bought the calls during the Berniepocalypse)

I'm usually super diversified though. If I go up to >3K of GALT shares and options, that's just over 10% of my RH account, which is way more than I'm usually in for any single position. especially a research stock.

ignore the bonds for now
Ok first food spending comes first.
I spend my food budget, then rent and bills after that, then everything else goes to phone games (just RH)

so buy whatever food you're gonna buy. Homemade pizza? maybe some eggs and sausage for breakfast? all kinds of fruits and vegetables are a must. Get some snacks too. I like Gardetto's, there's plenty of interesting ways to snack though. Sometimes I'm dipping pretzel rods into hummus, you never know.

alright then you take whatever money you have left
you need to set yourself up with some food stocks first and hygiene stocks second. What you're going to do is buy food stocks based on who makes the food you bought. Grab some KHC, GIS, K, maybe some CAG, KR or BGS. Whatever. Then you buy some JNJ, PG too for your hygiene.
wash yourself with WATER. no soap. no shampoo.
No shaving, no haircuts until you have at least 100 shares of JNJ, PG, and any $20K worth of foodstocks

So, I've been thinking, for one reason or another 2 of my old debts from when I was a college liberal haven't been reported to my credit and I still have a 600+ score when it should be like in the 400s. How retarded would it be if I made out an application online, got a card, cash advanced it, piled that shit into robinhood, and sold calls on margin? With a $5k limit, I could buy about 400 shares of AMD and earn about $280 on that alone per week selling calls. I also still have the 500 shares in my account that I'm earning on right now too of course, about $330-370 a week. The cash I earn from selling options too can obviously be used on margin as well, so robinhood would basically subsidize my scrawny ass into overdrive writing shit like this.

Here's some numbers:
>Own 500 shares of AMD right now; $13770 equity stake.
>AMD weeklies sell for roughly ~$70 per week. Sometimes more, sometimes less depending on the greeks and shit.
>Basically have an extra $8.25/hr wagie job writing these calls, on top of my day job.
>Each $70ish I earn is really $140 available on margin though so I can R-R-R-R-R-RAMP THAT SHIT UP
>I still have $600 in leftover cash just sitting in robinhood doing nothing because I can't buy 100 shares with that shit.

>Get approved for credit, $2k to $10k limit.
>Wiggertier scores 620, probably gonna land $2k-3k.
>That's still 200 extra shares on margin, $140 in actual cash, $280 margin.
>$280 + $700 (margin gained normally) each week, I'll be able to buy 100 shares of AMD every 2 weeks (I still have the $600 leftover margin to fill in rounding errors).
>Exponentially grow my ass out of wageslavery

Worst case scenario I see happening is AMD goes to 0, I get approved for a shit line, in which case I could just decline the offer so no homo, or a balls to the wall shit hits the fan I lose the job AND amd goes to 0 AND I have to default on the line.

Should I do it?

the only phone games I play are RobinHood and Realm Grinder. and I don't spend money in realm grinder
For me Robin Hood is pretty much the #1 Gatcha game. I can't help spending all my money on my cute anime girl stocks

I never use shampoo. Soap maybe once a week. Shower every day, but only wash hair with water maybe twice a week. very clean, great hair.

I was about to photoshop you an anime girl with monster zero ultra but I've got a problem.
I got a tablet/laptop with high resolution but my super old copy of photoshop (it was an internal early build of CS5) doesn't seem to scale the interface resolution at all. And the trackpad on this thing (surface book) feels super bad to do photoshop with.
So I will owe you one.

But it feels like there’s just more and more bad news, and the stock hasn’t tanked nearly as much as it should, because everyone thinks the way you are. (Even though defense is only 30% or so of boeing I believe)

DO NOT just buy random shit you see in /smg/ threads in random amounts, hold that stuff, end expect that you will magically get better.
That's not how getting better works. It's a long hill to climb and you will have to be very active. I don't mean very active buying and selling, but you will have to be reading a lot of words and numbers, calculating things in your head, watching charts, etc.
If you want to 'get better' without putting in as much work, you should be just buying more diversified ETFs that you can hold. QYLD, SPYD, flip to SPYG and XLK at the equinox when the market cycle renews

sell any leveraged ETF positions you hold into cash
buy literally anything else or just keep the money in cash

SA aren't moderate though, not even in comparison to Iran, and U.S. support of Syrian rebels led to bad times for Christians, as did unironically opposing Hezbollah. I merely explained various disturbances to Christians in the region and how the Republican actions often help to increase them, such as ignoring how Hezbollah has protected them, and that Wahhabist ideology has lead to deaths of them. It is trying not to see the world as black and white, but to understand it, there's no reason to get defensive about the observing of such facts unless you are an ideologue.

In california electric companies dont have to pay up for fucking up, they can just say “oops that cost us 10 million, better just “bill” the customers for this”
There was a bill passed a few years back that protects them doing this. You literally can’t lose investing in california electric utilities.
