That's a joke

Am still waging but it is not as bad as it used to be. Passive income about equal active income so I have a lot more leverage in negotiating salary. Nowadays working is moreso me being greedy and less so a necessity

Don't hate. It sounds like money he can afford to lose on a moonshot.

Building engineer

Good stuff:
>Pay is decent. I get paid for every hour I work, instead of the all-too-common 50-hour work week and 40-hour pay week
>Secure job. It's generally recession-resistant, but I haven't been at the company long enough to experience a down economy with them so IDK.
>No HR bullshit, we talk about pretty much anything we want at work and often talk openly about our political opinions.
>Good benefits, future growth, company culture, etc etc.
>Half the time I am designing operating rooms and cancer centers where lifesaving medical procedures are performed. I find this rewarding and I feel like I'm doing something good and important.

bad stuff:
>Cubicles. I will be in a cubicle my entire career. People who have the authority to fire my boss sit in cubicles.
>My job is to follow the building codes. There is no creativity or ingenuity that goes into it. You just do the same thing the 1,000 people before you did.
>Constant pissing contests about who worked more hours this week, who stayed later, who got more emails, as if missing out on life is something to be proud of.
>Architects are the dumbest people on the planet, and think they are the smartest. We have to be nice to them.
>Half the time, I spend enabling Disney's timeshare scam. I do it with much less enthusiasm than I have for hospitals and cancer centers.

Government Finance

Good:
Boss is chill
Great gym
Pay's a little above average

Cons:
Everyone is smarter than me
Everyone is more sociable than me
Everyone is a better public speaker than me
Everyone is more likeable than me
*Half of these people are much younger than me
Every day is a reminder if how horribly inadequate I really am

I work in business analysis for a vidya company. It was very stressful at first but we had a lot of people get fired this year, so its very comfy now. Most days I don't have to do much work, but I want to utilize time better. I am mainly a shut in outside of work so probably <5 years from kms

My job doesn't pay a lot, $20 an hour. I'm the security supervisor of a tiny satellite courthouse with one courtroom. But I basically don't do shit, the two screeners do most of the work and I just stand in the back with a gun and occasionally make reports.

My job usually consists of listening to music and fucking around on my phone, I even get free parking. Hardly a dream job, but it's wonderfully stress-free.

I maintain shitty build systems for IBM. Everything I do is obsolete so I'm stuck here. Dead within 8 years probably I'm still getting enough 5.5/10 tinder thots but the enjoyment from it is drying up.
