To do it successfully, do an LBO on a small business selling for less than liquidation value.

Yes, it might be a fulltime job once you try to reorganize the business, but you could easily make millions within <5 years if you can buy at the right price.

Of course, tons of people are doing this (private equity) but a lot of those companies avoid businesses worth <10M.
