Both the US and China are dependent on trade, although China more so. I have watched Peter Zeihan, and he's correct that the US enjoys many innate advantages, but these geographic advantages do not carry over the the military situation, where the US is attempting to upholding global control. China's military is already exposing the limits of this, as a slew of recent reuters articles have shown. China could win a defensive war against the US, and that's all they need to do.
