you can buy tokenized real estate (erc20) now. Rent is converted into dai and paid monthly to token holders.
This could be big for ethereum

>What legal rights do the RealTokens have over the properties they represent?
>Unlike REIT or other real estate funds, owning a RealToken is actually owning part of a home. Like typical real estate ownership, and RealToken owners get regular rent yields immediately, rights to voting regarding property management and sales, and even the ability to physically enter and visit the property with proper notice to tenants.

>How do I buy RealTokens?
>Each property is divided into a specific number of RealTokens. Investors have the opportunity to buy as many as they’d like, subject to availability, via our website. RealTokens are ERC-20 compliant tokens, with extended functions to make them suitable for real estate assets. RealTokens will represent fractionalized ownership in that home, as well as provide significant liquidity to investors.

so If I buy 1000 tokens of that first house, do I get $860 every month? for how long?

If you buy 1000 tokens you own the house.
The renting is managed by a separate company that takes a 5% fee for that. If you own 100% you could fire them and do whatever you want with the house.

Ponzi scheme. noone is paying to live in those shitholes. The whole thing is a sham that's going to fall apart after they discover they are paying out "rent" on properties they don't own and aren't generating any income

Detroit has a population of 673104
it's a perfect pilot location to test the process, notice the first house is priced only at $63750.
If it was in SF it would be worth $2M and annual property tax alone would be ~$17k
