I actually run one but I'm not routing anymore because of what you said
1sat fees were too expensive so I lowered them to milisats routed some transactions and my pi crashed
Some cool guy wrote a script to pull the important data off my node so I could start fresh on an uncorrupted node and put my channel states back in
I was basically trying to teach myself Linux at this point
It worked after like 5 or 7 days I got my forced closed channel balances back
Learned alot about the network and didn't lose any money besides transaction fees but it was sketchy
